In most parts of the country, summer is the tourist season and a hay day for hospitality and retail. However, the same can’t be said for Arizona’s Valley of the Sun, where the intense heat brings commerce to a virtual standstill. Faced with this challenging season, Talking Stick Resort tasked RIESTER with promoting summer events to locals through its newly envisioned pool parties.
Launched on Memorial Day weekend, the weekend parties, called “RELEASE,” feature well known DJs from Las Vegas and Los Angeles, in addition to swimming and fun. The parties were launched with public relations and advertising support—including a total takeover of azcentral.com and coverage in AZ Foothills and AZ Weekly.
As a result, the parties are averaging 1,000 attendees on Saturday and 500 on Sunday. They have been so successful that RELEASE has been extended past its original end date of Labor Day until the end of September.
