RIESTER delivers a clean design for Clean Air.

Maricopa County’s Clean Air brand recently became more visible with the unveiling of the Air Quality Department’s new office. Working with a team of graphic and interior designers, RIESTER developed a look that is, itself, clean. The space features an illuminated wall that glows in accordance with the color-coded air quality grade; a glass table that floats on the letters “AIR;” and an entire wall made out of 100% bamboo paper pulp. The sustainable design aligns perfectly with the Department’s “Clean Air Make More” campaign.

Casino Arionza at Talking Stick Resort is now open.

Comfortable, modern rooms await guests at the new resort.

Troy Pottgen thanks his colleagues on their accomplishments in relation to the launch of Talking Stick Resort:

At 6 a.m. yesterday, Casino Arizona at Talking Stick Resort opened its doors to the public near Scottsdale. While walking the floor that afternoon, amid happy guests and an even happier client, I was struck by just how much we at RIESTER have touched and shaped the look of this project over the last 18 months.

Our impact is evident in the beautiful brushed steel signs adorning every restaurant and club and featuring the stunning logos of Brooke, Laurie, Azalia, Carlos, Travis and Mike Levario.

It’s in every digital sign displaying the gorgeous food photography so well-organized and overseen by Laurie and Linda Walls.

It’s in each piece of collateral both written and art directed by our team and produced by Bill Robbins and Linda, and it’s in the eblasts, banner ads and social media efforts from our Interactive team.

It’s in the TV and radio commercials for both Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort co-created with the help of Xavier, Ben and Laurie, expertly produced as always by Linda Hart and brought to air by Kari and company in Media.

And it was all brilliantly promoted by Shanna, Jessica Jewell and our PR team, supported by our creative team in Salt Lake City, managed by our smart and resilient Integration team of Tiffany, Jenna and Simon–all under the ever-watchful eyes of Chaz and with the exact amount of guidance from Tom, Skip, Tim and Mirja.

Most marketing agencies never get to build and shape a brand like Talking Stick Resort from the ground up (in this case, both literally and figuratively). But we have, thanks to a long-standing and trusting client who appreciates the value of good, smart work. And while there is still much to do in the coming weeks and months to launch this resort properly to the masses once it is fully complete, I just wanted to share the appreciation I was feeling yesterday for the vast amount of work so many of you have put into this project to date. Thank you, I’m honored to know and work with you all.

Cammy Wagner, a RIESTER gem.

cammy new-1With her direct gaze, her vibrant red hair, her style and easy confidence, RIESTER’s Cammy Wagner is one of our great assets. Raised and educated in Nebraska, Cammy moved to Arizona just after college. She is one of RIESTER’s longest serving employees, having started with the firm in January of 1996.

Cammy is our Director of Integration, a role similar to the head of account services at other agencies. She is passionate about customer service, a characteristic that serves her and our clients well. This passion is evident in her adept way of working with people who have a wide variety of temperaments.  She simply enjoys people.

In the television show “Mad Men,” set in the early 1960s on Madison Avenue, Lane Pryce, a senior manager at the fictional advertising agency, explained to junior executive Pete Campbell why his competitor was promoted to head of account services instead of him. Pryce told Campbell: “You are excellent at making the clients feel their needs are being met, but, Mr. Cosgrove has the rare gift of making them feel as if they haven’t any needs.” By working tirelessly for our clients, Mrs. Wagner shares this rare gift.

Cammy explains how she works to maintain a win/win atmosphere between clients and the agency: “Always stay true to the strategy and do great marketing while never neglecting the goals and motivations of all of the individuals involved.”

When asked to describe Cammy in just a few words and phrases, Mirja Riester said: “She is my American cultural barometer. She is true, the real thing, raw, sassy.”

CEO Tim Riester offers this story, and some observations about Cammy:

“When we first were awarded the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau account, the client had worked with its previous agency for more than a decade.  They decided it was time to move their business to RIESTER, but they were concerned about uprooting such a long-standing business relationship.  Cammy led the transition for Scottsdale.  The client quickly told me they loved RIESTER’s motto, ‘You Got It.  We’re On It.’ Every time they assigned Cammy a project, they discovered that she was already on it.  What is amazing is that motto was not RIESTER’s, it was Cammy’s.

“She is one of those extremely rare, wonderful people who have endless energy and an honest desire to make sure everything is always done right.  She teaches all of our managers how to succeed by providing ‘You Got It. We’re On It’ service.

“I am proud Cammy has chosen to stay with RIESTER all these years. She is truly part of the heartbeat of our organization.”

A conversation about education.

RIESTER recognizes that America’s economic well being and our competitiveness in the global marketplace depends on having an educated work force. We have worked on many public awareness campaigns related to education. It is a cause we are passionate about. The video below, produced by friends of RIESTER’s, focuses on Arizona, but most of what’s being said applies throughout the U.S. Take a few minutes to watch this, it’s well worth your time. We need to expect more from our education system, including what we’re willing to give to support that system.
