RIESTER is pleased to announce the acquisition of Search-Werks, a top national provider of e-commerce and search engine marketing services. In a move that will expand RIESTER’s renowned digital media expertise, Search-Werks’ founder and CEO Kurt Krake will join RIESTER as its new Executive Media Director and will lead media operations with his years of online retail and marketing experience. The acquisition comes as part of RIESTER’s commitment to delivering comprehensive and superior digital and traditional media services.
RIESTER and Search-Werks have a longstanding relationship cultivated over years of working together on digital media projects. The acquisition opportunity developed out of Kurt’s relationship with RIESTER Shareholder and Chief Digital Officer Alan Perkel. The two formerly worked together early in their careers at PetSmart.
Kurt’s experience and talent will be an incredible compliment to RIESTER’s senior leadership team. After earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University, he developed his strategic and financial skills working for the Big 5 accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand / PriceWaterHouseCoopers. He then honed his online retail and online marketing talents while serving in e-commerce leadership positions at Hanesbrands Inc. and PetSmart. This impressive corporate background combined with his entrepreneurial success as the founder of Search-Werks (in 2006) truly makes Kurt the ideal leader for RIESTER’s media operations.
