RIESTER

RIESTER ROOTS

Since its beginning, in 1989, RIESTER has been motivating people to become passionate about and get involved with issues that matter. These roots as Brand ActivistsTM remain the foundation of our business today.

For example, one of our earliest campaigns, "Tumor Causing, Teeth Staining, Smelly, Puking Habit" shocked the national news media in 1996. The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, MTV, CBS Evening News' Dan Rather and NBC's Brian Williams all reported on our unique methods of preventing youth from smoking. The result was the most successful youth tobacco prevention campaign to this day. Even the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) enlisted our work to support the prevention of tobacco consumption nationwide.

More recently, RIESTER engaged its Brand ActivismTM to expand usage of the HERDEZ brand of grocery products for Hormel Foods. Our "Authentic Stories" campaign successfully introduced these savory Mexican salsas to the American general market increasing year-over-year sales by 68% since 2008.

Today, RIESTER is honored to be helping the world leader in HIV and Aids treatment, Gilead, redefine the social norms in America regarding HIV. We are energized to be assisting PacifiCorp in bringing cleaner, green electricity to the Northwest. And we are humbled to be helping Hormel Foods bring healthy meal options to more families challenged by these economic times.

Changing behaviors, creating and believing in our clients' purpose, and caring about the sustainability of their brands' success, has led to RIESTER becoming one of the largest independent advertising and public relations firms in the Western United States. Today, we have the knowledge, experience, and resources to help businesses address important challenges in today's vastly changing world.
